anyone know how to program a keyless entry remote 99 maxima?

Anyway you should only need one key for this. Get in and lock all the doors with the door lock button. Put the key in the ignition and remove it quickly and repeat till the lights flash and then turn the ignition to accessory. Press a button on the rempte and your lights will flash. All done

Similar process for new keys provided you have both originals.

wierd... that didn't work. I wonder if the car didn't come with remote entry from the factory... it's a 99 SE ... I thought they all had keyless entry?

It comes standard. Did you ever get the lights to flash. You have to quickly insert and remove (completely) the key several times (8-10)
 
you can look online, but i have a 93 g20 (not sure if it's same remote)

We have to open the trunk, get in the car, lock the doors, rull up all the windows. insert and remove the key 10 times within 10 seconds (i think) and then unlock and relock the drivers side door. AFter that we press a key on the remote, and in theory it should work. If you need to program an additional remote in a G20, you just unlock and lock door again after you program the first remote. Dunno if this'll work for you though.

On his car he would only need to press the lock button to program additional remotes. I did mess up though if I remember correctly you do not need to lock the doors to start the process. I'm not sure though. I used to do it all the time but that was a few years ago.

ID CODE ENTRY PRODCEDURE

Step 1) Sit in drivers seat, close all doors.

Step 2) Insert key into and remove it from ignition key cylinder more than six times within 10 seconds.
(Hazard warning lamps will then flash twice).

NOTE:
Withdraw key completely from ignition key cylinder each time.
If procedure is performed too fast, system will not enter registration mode.

Step 3) Insert key into ignition key cylinder and turn to ACC position.

Step 4) Push any button on remote controller once. (Hazard warning lamps will then flash twice).
At this time, the oldest ID code is erased and the new ID code is entered.

Step 5) Do you want to enter any additional remote controller ID codes?
A maximum of four ID codes may be entered. If more then four ID codes are entered,
the oldest ID code will be erased.
If you do not want to enter any additional remote controller ID codes, go to Step 9).

Step 6) ADDITIONAL ID CODE ENTRY
Lock all doors with LH (driver side) lock/unlock switch
(in main power window and door lock/unlock switch).

Step 7) Push any button twice on remote controller once, (Hazard warning lamps will then flash twice).
At this time, the oldest ID code is erased and the new ID code is entered.

Step 8) Do you want to enter any additional remote controller ID codes?
If so, unlock doors then repeat Step 6) and Step 7).

still no luck. The hazards don't flash or anything...

OK I just did it on my wifes car and I was right the first time. The doors do have to be locked and the key has to be inserted quickly and rhythmically seven times. Then insert the key, turn it to acc and press a button on the fob.


Took me a couple tries cause my key was sticking at first.
