Anyone know how to get through a proxy & firewall with SETI?

This is for the 2work machines I have assimilated. They both have net access afterall (via proxy),the users just needed the names & passwords!.

Anyway ,I had planned to put SETIQ on one of the PC's & have that access the net ,would save me snekker netting!.;)
To surf the net with IE you just need to enter a username & password & then your in (or is that out?;)).
In IE tools, options, connections,LAN settings the proxy is set to trnXXX port 80.

Just running a plain CLi client with the proxy switch of the above server & port I get an error message saying unable to reach S@H host (or something like that ,I'll post from work tomorrow if needed). If I switch to port 443 or 23 it just says unknown host or directory ,on port 21 it just hangs.

I assume this isn't working because somehow the password & username is needed to access the net ,I tried this wirth SETIDriver using the socks boxes (don't know if that's right) but it still didn't work.

Any ideas anyone?

I think you can do it with Setidriver a bit easier than trying to do it with the CLI alone. Setidriver would probably be best for those machines anyway because they could be set to transmit manually if you want, so they can sit there and not have to deal with continuous connects to the network. This is assuming you don't put Setiqueue on one of them.

I've already tried that ,read my last line in my 1st post;)

Some FAQ I stumbled upon linked off Sonis site talked about a proggy called proximotron (spelling?) going in between SETI & the OS & putting in the password & username each time SETI needed it.Thing is I don't really want to add too many programs.

I didn't get as far as trying SETIQ on a machine yet ,it didn't have winzip!

I'll give that a go but somehow I feel I'll have no more luck than with SETIDriver

Thanks anyway guys & girls:)
