I want to be able to put the "^" over a "p"- a p with a hat, basically. In the insert symbols, the only ones with the hat are the French vowels. Does anyone know how I could do this? thanks

Or go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and open Character Map, you can ALT + (four-digit string on the number pad) for many useful ones. ALT + 0176 for the degree symbol, for example. °

Where I found the info.

unfortunately, that doesn't work- its only a shortcut for the vowels with the circumflelx accent. Thanks, though
