Anyone know how to get CD keys from steam?

I just bought TOV and all I want is my cd key. The game is already installed because i got the latest patch but steam insists on downloading the whole damn thing over again!

Anyone know how i can retrieve my key?

Registry, go to steam forums and look to see how you can find it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\THQ\Company of Heroes
Then you will see on the right CoH<XX>ProductKey, and the string is the key.

Thanx, but none of this helps... I looked this up on steam forums but the registry value they are talking about is empty, probably because the game is not downloaded.

It's not in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\THQ\Company of Heroes either... I only have my original and opfr cd keys there...

I wonder why steam doesn't give cd keys immediately after purchase like d2d does...
