Anyone know how to get around the NYC subways? (need directions)

Okay, here's how I would do it:

From Penn Station, take the A, C, or E to 42 Street
At 42nd Street, tranfer to the S (shuttle) to Grand Central
At Grand Central, take the 4 or 5 to 86th Street
Walk down from Lexington to 2nd Ave then down to the club between 81st and 82nd Street
After the club, back track to 86th Street Station
From 86th Street, take the 4 or 5 down to Fulton Street
At Fulton Street, transfer to the A, C, or E to West 4th
Walk to the restaurant.

Hope you like walking. I could think of no other way to do this. Good luck.

Edit: Take the 4 or 5 over the 6 and the A over the C or E. 4/5 and A run express.

No, Penn Station is only for the 1/9 or the A/C/E. You have to get to Grand Central, which is the closest place to catch the 4/5/6 on the East Side.

Another alternative is you take the A/C/E down to Broadway/Nassau (Fulton St.) and transfer to the 4/5/6 there. But that means going downtown to go uptown, kind of backwards but it saves a transfer.
