Anyone know how to get a sidewinder game pad to work in win2k?

It doesn't get detected automatically... so I tried downloading the software from microsoft.... but the setup won't install correctly and I get some "cannot locate setup" error so it won't install.... how can I get this working?
 
If it's the gameport one, just go to control panel to gaming devices or whatever it's called in 2k and go to add and find Microsoft Sidewinder (auto detect).

That should do it.
 
Goto Microsofts Website to the download section and seach for the sidewinder (ALL Updates) and the newsest one there worked for me in Win2K
