whoever it is keeps sending queries trying to get my team anandtech password. It doesn't look like they've succeeded yet, but I'm getting tired of all the emails from the TA server letting me know that someone at this address requested a password verification. I'd like to either find out who it is and ask them to stop or, find their isp and get them disconnected.
edit: they aren't allways connected, I've only been able to ping that IP once about 2 days ago, so it may be a dial up user.

at command prompt
type
nslookup and then the ip address
will give you the domain name.
looks like someplace in pittsburg
It looks like adelphia.net is there service provider.
you could contact them and complain, they might do something for you.

thanks, I'm pretty sure its an adelphia.net user, I sent them this message:

You, or the person at this address (68.232.35.27), has requested to send your Team AnandTech password.

I have tracked this IP down to
Name: 68-232-35-27.pittpa.adelphia.net
Address 68.232.35.27

My current IP address is at
Server dns1.rcsntx.sbcglobal.net
Address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

My address changes approx. every 24hrs. when my nat router auto-cycles.

this is not me, and I don't request passwords for myself as I have all my passwords memorized. This user has tried gaining access to my passwords a couple of times now, and it's been reported that this user has tried accessing others passwords on teamanandtech.com. Please take appropriate action to this user for his discrepencies.

he's appearantly not a visitor to anandtech, so no point in asking the mods anymore, there are multiple threads about it in the distributed forums.

adelfia.net is probably not his ISP. If he is smart?
He could have gotten a user name and pw from somewhere and telneted onto there server. or made several jumps.
But they still could track him down it would just be alot harder.

What would be the purpose of stealing your AnandTech password? If I were stealing passwords, I'd want the one to put money in my pocket! :D

there really is no point in taking our passwords, in point of fact unless one clicks on the link in the e-mail they can't get them anyway, the e-mails for this is just getting irritating.

I don't get much spam, thus no spam filter. I only get 2 or 3 junk e-mails a week. I just manually block them in Outlook manually.
