You can try a different way of printing the screen. Set your desktop to the way you want to print. Hit the print screen button. Goto wordpad, paste the screenshot and print. Lemme know how this goes.

Oh, are you familiar with copying hard drives? I'm gonna buy image cast or norton ghost. is there a difference?

Kinda OT, but might as well answer, I've used Drive Image and it seems to work very well for plain drive copying. I've heard from many people though that Ghost is faster and has better/more features.

Either use "printscreen" <--captures ENTIRE screen or use
ALT + "printscreen" <--this will capture "just the active window"

AFTER using either of these methods you have to "paste" the captured image into a graphics program so you can print it. Try it out use the program "paint" that comes with Windows.

It will not print directly to your printer just by hitting "printscreen". I agree this is kinda backwards, but it comes from the old DOS days where it used to work correctly(old old days).
