Anyone know how to convert Leadteks 2000XP MPEGs to Xvid?

When i try to edit them, i get errors and stuff. There seems to be some longing issue, but can't really find any details.
 
Edit them with what?
I use Ulead Videostudio 6 SE to edit my MPEG2 files from a WinTV PVR-350 card. It doesn't seem to support Xvid's 2 pass setting though. I usually edit out back to MPEG2 anyway though - just commercial free. 🙂 Vidomi does support Xvid's 2 pass, and MPEG2 input, but it's not being developed by the original authors anymore. And it's got a few bugs, like after clicking back and forth on some icons on its main window, Job Control I think it was, Vidomi just closes itself. The preview window, for selecting sections of video to edit in or out, only shows video; it doesn't decode the sound for the preview.
