We're trying to clean the baffles on a borrowed ancient Lawnboy 2stroke mower - we removed the blade and the nuts holding the bottom half of the muffler (?) on, but there's a square plate (blade guide?) on the crankshaft that refuses to come off. The exhaust is clogged with nasty oily dirt..looks like it's never been cleaned..
We sprayed it with WD40 and put a puller on it, but we're trying not to break anything..the plate started to flex, and it hasn't come off yet. Does anyone happen to know the 'proper' way to do it?
Edit: Bah..you worthless posters..lol
Called a small engine repair shop - he said just smack it with a hammer until it spins. Off I go...
