anyone know how to clean controllers?

how should the clean the outside of my video game controllers. Windex and paper towels?

I don't think I'd use windex, but not necc bad. Alcohol or acetone would be better as it would dry out quickly if some got inside (no shorts:) ) and wouldn't leave a residue. Also will pull off oils easily.

I'd just use a damp cloth/paper towel. Not wet, just damp. *shrug* What do I know though, I don't own any consoles

um. Don't use acetone.


Go to kroger and get 96% iso alchohol. Or, get goof off residue remover.


DON'T USE ACETONE.


Take a piece of plastic and rub some acetone on it for 10 seconds or so and see what happens. It melts. (known from my model car days...)

Check that, you're prob right. It will fubar some plastics.

Low-water alcohol is stil the best answer.

q-tips and isopropyl alcohol will do the job quite nicely. Just make sure if you get them too wet, the alcohol has some time to evaporate before you use them.
