anyone know how to boot games off a external hdd onto a ps2?

There is no way unless you steal the software to do it (like USBExtreme or some other variant), and by steal, I mean physically rob someone or something. Also, this software isn't very compatible and I don't recommend it over swapping discs.

i have a fat ps2 but i aint gots no hdd spare

take the HD out of the external enclosure(unless its 2.5")

Even if it is, he just needs an adapter and he also needs the Network Adapter.

I wouldn't even bother using USB Extreme. Compatibility is low, support is minimal, and data transfer speeds are so slow FMV's don't play. Get a network adapter (~$25) and HD Loader. Not sure where to get HD Loader.

I've modded lots of PS2's, so feel free to PM me if you have questions.

You downloaded USBExtreme? It has to be a legit disc to work...

Oh and if you have a Slim PS2, you don't need those hippy Flip Top cases that don't fit correctly without shaving them. Just use some scotch tape and void the warranty (who cares, they're $130 anyway). That's what I did and it works fine.

EDIT: RaiderJ is right, the USBExtreme is not that great as it may seem. Compatability is not nearly as nice as HDAdvance and I believe the USB ports on the PS2 are USB 1.1 anyway (crappy transfer rates ftw).
