and you are supposed to figure out the pattern... Anyone know?

You sure those numbers are right?

The problem you posted resembles one in which all the numbers that he likes are perfect squares.
 
Yeah, I think it was supposed to be something like "He likes 400 not 300 and 100 not 99 and 2500 not 2400 what number does he like?" and the choices are 900, 599, and 223 (or something)

400 = 20^2, 100 = 10 ^ 2, 2500 = 50 ^2, so 900 is the answer (30^2)

I saw it on that emode.com IQ test...That's solved just by recognizing the pattern...you recognize the pattern by having a high IQ 🙂
