anyone know how long you can have an inactive wow account?

my buddy and I were gonna start playing wow again but our account hasnt been active in almost a year. Do they delete thesee accounts or should i be good to go once we can manage to remember the account info haha.

Blizzard doesn't delete WoW accounts for inactivity. It's always there in case you ever want to reactivate it.

If I stop playing and cancel my account, will my characters be deleted?

No. Blizzard?s current policy is never to delete active characters of inactive accounts. If you reactivate your account at any point in the future, your characters will be ready to play. If this policy changes at any point in the future, it will be announced on www.worldofwarcraft.com.
