Anyone know how long the post office will hold a shipment?

I would like to know that as well for EMS packages.

IIRC, it's 5 business days after their last delivery attempt, or 10 days if the package is mailed "hold for pickup"

3 weeks before sending it back - I think after 3 delivery attempts

I just got a package returned this weekend because the recipient never went to the post office to pick it up after notification

Ok, excellent. It was actually to a PO Box and so they probably tossed it in one of the larger ones... it's about an hour away, guess I'll call tomorrow and pick it up if need be, but can't risk it going back, bah. I'll confirm tomorrow, but really hope it's 3 weeks.
