Enable Vsync and set your monitor refresh rate to reasonable level (~75-85hz). It eliminates tearing by introducing a framerate cap, those 100FPS+ peaks will be gone and speed should be much steadier.
And I forgot to mention; if you encounter short but substansial drops in framerate, make sure that UDMA (DMA mode on Windows's Control Panel/Hard disk properties) is enabled.
Thanks, man. I seemed to get it a bit more smooth. I think enabling sidebanding helped. Do you, or anyone, for that matter, know if it is possible to enable AGP 2x and sidebanding at the same time? (I have an Asus K7M/Athlon setup)
AGP2X with sidebanding is possible of course. If your K7M supports "super bypass" it has the newer revision (c5) of AMD-751 northbridge and combination GeForce + AGP2X/sb should be stable.
