Anyone know how I can keep my monitor from going into sleep mode on reboot?

THis is pissing me off because my monitor want to go into sleep mode when I reboot and I can't see the screen. I need to see the screen so I can hit F-8 to bring up the boot menu before it passes.

Unless the monitor has a "sleep mode delay" feature in its onscreen menu, that'll be a no. The monitor enters sleep mode whenever it does not receive a signal from the graphics card - and quite obviously one cannot make the graphics card produce a valid signal before it has been initialized. There will always be a short period, inbetween system reset and the BIOS firing up the graphics card, with no signal.

Otherwise, just press F8 when you /know/ it needs to be pressed.
