Anyone know how i can delete the DVD codec (MPEG-2) on my PC?

I've been having troubles capturing MPEG-2 video w/ my TV Tuner. None of the other codecs are giving my problems, so I want to delete the MPEG-2 codec (and all DVD related), and then reinstall PowerDVD.

Any ideas?

only thing i can think of is (in xp) going to device manager >> Sound, Video game controllers >> Video Codecs >> Properties >> [select offending codec] >> Remove

BennyD, thanks for the tip. Under the list of codecs, do you have anything that looks remotely like a DVD codec?

hmmm, it's hard to tell whats what, cause they are all called stupid things

it might be easier if you go to run >> dxdiag >> More help (tab) >> MSInfo (But) >> Components >> Multimedia >> Video Codecs

there should be bit more info there, but i still have no idea how to find tthe one you need
