I just setup my Northwood 1.6a and the temps are crazy high. I idle between 47 and 50 at default voltage and don't even want to see what my load temps would get to. I booted up at 2133 for a bit and hit about 57C! It is also reading my system temp at 35C. I am pretty sure my system temp should be in the mid 20's and my cpu temp much cooler than what it is running. I might have set the heatsink improperly, which seems impossible to do, but it wouldn't explain my system temps. Any ideas whats up?

actually those temps seem about right with the retail, especially if you left the black thermal pad on. my 1.8 @ 2.4 with 1.65 voltage is gets to about 61 celcius under full load with a mcx478 swiftech. with the retail it goes over 70 and crashes. remember these are internal die temps, not like most xp or athlon setups. my temps drop 4 or 5 celcius the instant i turn off prime95. this is on a bd7-raid. don't worry about the temps unless they get over 65...and of course overclocking you might want to find better cooling than the retail hs/fan.

1.8 @ 2.4 1.65v with AVC Sunflower and AS3, 38C Idle. Haven't measured the load temps yet.
