Do you speak german?

I wish I had taken german instead of Spanish. It sounds so much cooler and is just a very interesting language. Spanish is boring :(

I wish I also took german. I learned more spanish in mexico in a week than three years in high school.

Ja das is richtig. Ich spreche Deutsch.

My german was good several years ago, but I have not used it in a long time. I had three years in high school and will probably try to start over again in College once I complete all the BS core curriculum.

I had 2 years of german in high school and 2 semisters in college. What you know slips away very quickly if you dont use it.

Yep and it is sad. When I went to Switzerland in the middle of my 3rd you it was extremly easy to converse. Now I can do some translation, but I have a hard time coming up with sentences and words on my own. :(

Deutsch ist eine gute Spraech. Ich spreche auch ein bisschen. Ich lerne Deustch fuer vier Jahren in High School. Ich denke dass, ich in der Uni ein deutsche Minor studieren. In zwei Monaten habe ich der AP Examen fuer Deutsch. Es wird sehr schwer sein.

Where did you get that from?

"Mit freundlichen Grüssen" is a formal letter ending, so it is best translated to "with kind regards" or just "kind regards"...

Keep on writing in german, guys...perhaps we can open a german speaking topic then... ;) :p

D'oh...never took German...can speak english, ukrainian, took four years of french, and four semesters of spanish...maybe i'll pick up german in the future somewhere...
