Anyone Know California Electrical Code?

I am going to put up a patio cover with 2 fans/lights in it. It will extend off the back of my house and cover my existing porch light. Do I have to keep the existing porch light or will the new lights suffice?

At least one wall switch controlled light must be provided in each of the following locations:
... Outside of exterior doors
It's not very specific but it looks like the new lights would qualify.
