I have to be at a meeting there tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM I leave from the Washington National airport at 6:00 AM, landing at around 7:15 AM. How much should I bring for cab fare?

AirTrain + "A" subway line, $7 FTW. One hour and 6 minutes, four minutes longer than the one hour and two minutes by taxi (according to HopStop.com 8AM tomorrow). Before you say "ewwwwwsubwaydirtyhomeless", grow-up. Your call, $45 or $7. :D

If he has a meeting on Wall Street, I'd hope he is not paying the fare. Also, the $45 does not include tip.

Recent NYTimes Travel Q&A blog post: An Environmentally Friendly Route From Kennedy Airport to Manhattan

Due to the time constraints of the post (90 minutes), the writer suggested a cab. The OP has enough time to take the subway, but there's the possibility of getting lost.

If you take an official cabs the fare from JFK to Manhattan is flat and is printed on the inside of the cab. 4-5 years ago it used to be $35 + tip - might be higher now.

JFK - Manhattan is standard $45 fare.
Does not include tolls or tips.
Does not matter where in Manhattan.

$45 flat rate + tips/toll

If you want a faster & cheaper commute, hop onto the Air Train and then take the A express train into the city.
