Anyone know Bermuda?

Thinking about a trip to Bermuda at the end of August. Anyone know the "what fors" of the place?

We stayed at Pink Beach Club in Bermuda for our honeymoon. It was very nice. As far as being toddler friendly, I'm not sure, there were families with kids there, it has a pool and is on the beach. The food was amazing. www.pinkbeach.com ask me if you have any other questions!

How far are the "remote" areas from the airport? Are there better areas to try and find a place?

I honestly didn't bother timing how long it took to get places but the trip from the airport to the hotel in the cab couldn't have been more than 15 minutes. We took the bus everywhere else on the islands (this is purely a guess, I'd say it was 20 minutes to get from our hotel to Hamilton). We spent most of our time at the Dockyards and in Hamilton so you might consider looking at a place near those areas if you want to keep travel to a minimum. There's a ferry that runs between Hamilton and the Dockyards that is much faster than taking the bus and is the way I would recommend going.

Here's a pretty good map of the island. Text

Pink Beach is located in Smith's Parish in the South East corner which means we had to go a long way to get to where we normally visited. There are a lot of places in Parishes 2, 3, and 5 and those are ones you might want to look at as they'll be closer to the thick of things.

Also, I hope you aren't too attached to fast food; the only fast food joint there is a KFC in Hamilton.

edit: I guess I should give some options on where to stay. We heard good things about The Fairmont Hamilton Princess and Pompano Beach Club. Without knowing how much you're looking to spend it's hard to make very good recommendations. Bermuda isn't really a cheap place to go from my experience.

We're looking to go there for our tenth anniversary next summer. From our research, cottages/apartments are a better deal than hotels. They're usually hundreds of dollars cheaper per night and they usually have a kitchenette/fridge so you can save money on meals.
