Anyone know anything about this? This article says that a book has been banned?? I did not think we did that

Some areas just ban books from their library, or choose not to sell/check out "banned" books. It's not like you are fined if you have or buy a copy or anything. Atleast that is my understanding of "banned" books.

Here is more information. Evidently the ACLU worked on the book ban. The guy is definatley in jail now for tax evasion.

Hmm. . . I wonder what the status of the ban is. I found this fascinating that they'd ban a book, even if it was kinda nutty. They don't ban books on other silly crap.

Uh....jackass author alert. Alert!

Yea, yea - but you should have the right to sell your stuff, even if it is not agreed upon.

they do, just as mentioned above, some areas and schools ban the book from their library, its not banned by the government and unavailable overall, though

This is what I read:

In March 19, 2003, Federal Judge Lloyd George ordered Schiff to stop selling his book "The Federal Mafia" which has been in print for over 13 years."

Now obviously this would not ban the 'used' market, but this is a case of a book being banned from sale.

I don't know...

"Disposing Dead Bodies so the Authorities will never find out"

"How to rob a bank in 60 seconds"

"Child Molesting for Dummies"

...

Bah... Anytime an unknown author writes a BS conspiracy book, with very questionable facts, he tries to claim that his book has been banned in the US. (Ooo Ooo... Gotta have it now don't ya!) James Collier did the exact same thing with his book "Vote Scam".

I wonder why he never mentions WHY the judge ordered him to stop selling his book? Perhaps that would shed some light on this situation? 😉
