it's by no means a bad monitor, but like I said, overpriced.
It has a 220 brightness rating which is not that great
400:1 contrast ratio which is decent but nothing exceptional
10-25 ms response time.... Now I know this doesn't have a true 10ms response time because there would have been some headlines. But if it holds a 25ms response time it is very good and even suitable for FPS gaming. I would not be surprised though that the true total up and down response time is over 25 ms.
Lets compare specs to the Hitachi I recommended:
260 brightness
400:1 contrast
TRUE 16ms total response time and about the best in it's class.
$150-200 cheaper...
Again, nice monitor but it's overpriced. and btw about all "Apple compatible" peripherals are PC compatible as well. Macs are very good about being able to work with PC, usually not the other way around though.
the only exception would be if the ADC version only came with ADC. Then it would only work on PC with a ADC to DVI converter.
anyways they both solid monitors but one is certainly a better deal then the other. btw that samsung is very good too and comparable to the Hitachi but for the same money, the Hitachi wins in the specs. I think the samsung has a better aesthetic design then the hitachi and the formac has the best design out of all of them.
