Anyone know anything about teaching english in japan or taiwan?

I don't particularly care for my current job so I looking for something else. I hear teaching english to young people in japan or taiwan is an interesting experience and the pay is adequate. Anyone have any advice to share?

Pay around 29k US dollars in Taiwan. That is plenty in Taiwan. You make your extra money on tutoring students on your off time. You still have to pay USA income taxes. Knowing the Mandrain or native Taiwanese language isn't required. Most of the University in Taiwan prefer you have experience and that you have a English degree or some king of linguistic degree.

On Japan, my buddy only had a degree in Environmental Science. It was just BS too. He was fluent in Japanese. But he taught there for 2 years. He loved it, the girls were always hitting on him.
