Pay an expert to do it.

I'm assuming that means it's hard to do?

EDIT: lol nice sig btw.

You can really wreck your car if you don't know what you're doing. Remote starters are not a DIY project.

They certainly can be depending upon the person. I guarantee you I can do a better job than most so called professionals. Have you seen some of the idiots working at stereo installation places lately? They WILL NEVER touch one of my cars....EVER.

My dad works on cars as a hobby for the past 20 or so years. So I'm hoping me and him can tackle it...So is Python a good brand?

These are not DIY friendly. I had one of the Viper units and the installers wouldn't even give me a copy of the install instructions. I did look thru their binder full of install/troubleshoot directions and had a much better appreciation for the guy doing the job.

Sure is but they dont sell to end users.

Oh really? Try here.

Nice. Units that are not professionally installed are not eligible for DEI's warranty. They dont want you buying them, and dont come with install directions.

Had one installed last week. Dont even know the brand, I guess I am not a very practical shopper.

Anyway brought it to local Tires plus, told me it will take 1/2 a day and $400 out the door.

Pretty nice, Had to buy one since we will be temporarily living in a apartment for 6 months and one of my cars will be parked outside. It gets pretty cold where I live (Minnesota).

They needed my valet key by the way.

Not sure how hard it is to install, but I figured by the time I figure out what brand I wanted figure out the instructions, then actually install the sucker. I and my car would be better of if I coughed up the $400 dollars.

good luck

Screw their warranty, I don't want some idiot messing up my car. No one but me is going to touch the electrical system on any of my cars. I have had to fix too many cars that were touched by so called professionals.
