Isn't it one of the names that Amway goes by because (sensible) people hear "amway" and flee?

Isn't Primerica like Citibank's wannabe "financial advisor" crap? Basically you cold call everyone to have their money managed by you. American Express does it and got fined big time for giving bad advice (pushing their own funds).

I got suckered once into going to one of their recruiting events, put on a suit for nothing. They are ONLY looking for 'financial advisors', no real jobs.

Basically you harass people to give you referrels and you call people up to ask them to let you manage their funds. Most of it is based around getting them to cancel their regualr life insurance and buy term insurance, then use the left over money to invest in stuff.

primerica used to be AL Williams insurance
it is pretty much a MLM term insurance outfit that was bought by citigroup

the basic tenant is a good one, buy life insurance for what life insurance was intended, insurance and keep your investments seperate in things like mutual funds. basically the message is "whole life insurance is evil and just gets insurance brokers fancy cars/boats"

it isn't amway

Primamerica, pay to join up as a sucker. Pay for gas to attend their seminars where they beef you up with testimonies from people who have made lots of money recruiting suckers to carry on the work.

Then sucker your friends and family into buying the product at an above market cost and give the majority of your commission to the people who signed you up in the hopes of someday recruiting suckers to do the same for you.
