Its for Video Editing, and im not sure which I should get.
The Maxtrox cant do uncompressed 8-bit or 10-bit SD nor HD, nor XLR (Can rely on Sound Card tho). Cant do 1080p or 1080i unless in HDV. The AJA LHe can down-convert SD, and can upconvert SD (about 90% sure), but cannot cross-convert HD formats (1080 and 720). Way to do so without the card? It seems the Matrox handles Real-Time Effects while the AJA only takes some load off CPU for extra RTE handling.
Im so confused... This is for use with a Quadro FX3500, 16GB Ram, 2xQuad-Core, EMU 1616 Sound, and Adobe After-Effects/Premiere mostly.
