This is an issue i've have much trouble with, partly because it would seem no one is an expert at this sort of thing that i could get help from. The problem is I can't get any controllers i hook up to my PC to use the vibration/rumble feature correctly. I think (don't know) it is a problem with my computer and not with all of the different the controllers/adapters i've used in the past. Using a PS2 controller and a PS2->USB adapter, which i have 3 of, i can't get the rumble working correctly. With one adapter, i can get the controller to vibrate in the control panel for a while (controller driver has a rumble testing section), though this usually results in the controller testing window freezing and stop functioning completely. If i don't fool around with the rumble in the control panel, and play a game which has a rumble feature first, the same result happens, my controller stuck in vibration mode (won't stop until i unplug it
) and the game and everything freezes for a long while, or until i unplug the USB adapter/Controller
Though i also have a USB Driving wheel controller (logitech driving force) and it has no problems at all with vibration/rumble and works perfectly on my computer, so i'm stumped.
It's a real annoying problem for me. One of those problems i try hard to fix, even though it's not important at all. Don't suppose there is anyone around here that has some expertise in this area and that might be able to help? Thanks for reading.
