I posted this on a clock forum on Monday but have gotten 15 views and zero responses so I figured why not give ATOT a try.
I can't seem to find any information on this clock on the web. Nobody seems to sell them, not even on ebay, and there just isn't much information available. The clock is about 15" tall, the case is made of hardwood veneers, it is well made and has a handsome reddish brown mat finish. It is key wound with three chimes, Whittington, St Michael, and Westminster. The face is very ornate in brass with standard numbering (not roman numerals). The only thing on the face is Baldwin III.
Inside the case on the back plate of the movement the following is stamped:
D
B/W
Two (2) Jewels
Unadjusted
Made in Germany
1050-020
The clock is in excellent condition, all three chimes work and it keeps decent time (loses about a minute or two a week). I keep it wound (about once a week) and I've done nothing to it other than enjoy it.
Any idea when this clock might have been manufactured? It doesn't look particularly old but I can't understand why I cannot seem to find any information about it. Any idea what it's worth?
I'm not interested in selling it but I am interested in finding out more about it.
Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
