anyone know anything about biometric time-clocks / access control?

I'm looking to install a time-clock based on fingerprint and facial recognition.

There seems to be one from a company called FingerTec, but it is from 2010. Biometric technology has advanced a lot in the past 3 years and I don't want to end up with something clunky and unreliable. Does any one know of any good brands/good products?

Bit of a late post, but i happened to stumble across it since i'm a FingerTec user as well. I've been using their range of products for about 3 years now, and i haven't experienced any major issues with their products.

I can't recommend any other products or brands since i've only been using FingerTec. I'm currently using Face ID 2 if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. How would you characterize the accuracy and ease-of-use of the facial recognition and fingerprint scanner? In terms of learning and then recognition, I'm looking for something with at least the quality of something like the iPhone5S's TouchID. If it is clunky and/or takes several tries to learn or to recognize, it is going to annoy me, my users, and the bosses.

Do you use it for access control or for time-keeping or both?

I use them for both Access Control & Time Attendance.
Frankly speaking, i didn't have very high expectation on the quality of their units with LCD display. It took longer than i had expected for validation, but this was 3 years ago. Once we updated the firmware, we didn't experience the delays we had before. Their products have improved a lot since my first purchase.
