Anyone know any good network monitoring software

I'm letting a friend who lives next to me share my wireless internet connection for a while, until he gets his internet connected. I'm looking for a good (possibly free) app that will let me monitor the traffic on my connection to see monitor how much bandwidth he's using, make sure he's not file-sharing, etc. Anyone know of one?

Well, I don't know about apps that measure an specific client, but Kerio Firewall has a built in bandwith usage monitor that works nicely. With that you can easily monitor how much bandwith is being used, and it won't be hard to tell who is using how much, specially because it will tell you which ports are open and which app is using the bandwith.

which it might not have

setup a bandwith monitor on your computer, note the total downloaded / uploaded on the router, in a few days compare the two, everything that is not yours is his

cant really force him to install kerio firewall or du meter

you could also get a wireless access point, setup a spare computer between your router and the wap, setup du meter on that computer
