I saw that the Prolink 6600gt agp at Newegg is about $20 cheaper than the Leadtek I am considering. Also comes with the HDTV connector.

Does anyone know anything about or have experience with Prolink cards?

Last time I upgraded my video I got a Prolink Pixelview 5900 from newegg refurbished. It is still an excellent card and has performed very well. I would imagine its not the best but the cost savings make up for an performance shortcommings it may have. I flashed it to a 5950 with a leadtek bios and everything works even better...no problems so far. I am going to be getting rid of it soon however as its still only a 59xx series and I really want a 6800GT SLI setup for the newer games.

Basically I would recommend it as long as you don't need much in the way of documentation or technical support as that company is lacking in both departments.

I haven't needed much help from tech support in the past (knock on wood). That's what the AT forums are for, right? ;)

I like that the Prolink has the HDTV attachment. But I can connect to HDTV with any DVI card that runs the requires resolutions, correct?

I'm going to have to get a new PSU to run a 6600gt, so any savings are helpful. But I don't want to get a noisy POS that will give me problems, either.

Well, I just bit the bullet for the Prolink from Newegg. I'll post a review there once I get the card and put it through the wringer.
