No, I've been using an air matress since moving into my townhouse. The first one had a slow leak that would be really soft in the morning, and the second one inflates hard on one side and soft on the other.

I would wait for sale at your local mattress place. especially when they have those mismatch sales.

i really like the sealy posturepedic mattresses that we bought when we got married. the mattress is "firm" but the top layer is fluffy, so it kind of molds to your body but still gives you the support you need.

That's a "pillowtop".
We've got the same thing. Best 1000 bucks I ever spent.

Queen. Budget is whatever it takes. If I can get a decent $300 set that's great, if I have to spend $1k that's ok too.

That's what I want actually. Something firm, but with a little give on top.

I second the Sealy.

And I though it was me that my GF complimented. She constantly claim that my bed is the most comfortable bed that she has ever been on.

A little more expensive, but the Tempurpedic type mattresses are awesome. Bought one a couple of years ago. Have slept straight through newborn midnight cries, much to my wifes chagrin.
