Anyone know about error 1531 in PowerQuest's PartitionMagic 7?

When I resize my main partition to something smaller and then create a new NTFS partition in the empty space, PartitionMagic asks me to restart so that it could perform the action. After I restart, it begins doing stuff, but a few seconds later it gives an error #1531 and says something about not enough clusters.

A search in its User Guide PDF yielded nothing. It explains tons of other error codes, but not this one.

Any ideas?

Error 1531 (Too Few Clusters) is on the Master Error List along with the solution.

(Run CHKDSK /F on the drive from the DOS prompt with a DOS utility disk.)

RPB, I haven't yet. I'm hoping that asking here will resolve the problem.
