Anyone know about 3com warranties?

Ihave an old 28.8 PCMCIA mode that's in my laptop. It stopped working, will never get a dial tone (yes, the line is fine). Anyone know my chances of getting it replaced? I don't have a reciept or anything.


Edit: 3COM owns US Robotics, right?

I thought it was lifetime (or was it 7 years), or 5 years from mfg date, if original ownership could not be established. I could be mistaken. Anyway, why not ask them?
