I just linked the first one that came up under a search for "words per minute test," so I don't know how good the site is or how accurate. But there is a test

Cool test. I don't know about the accuracy though. Usually the more you have to type, the more accurate the test will be. I type pretty fast thanks to working on the computer so much. I also took a typing class in high school. It almost ruined my 4.0 GPA, but I ended up getting a lot out of it. After four years of coding and typing papers in college, plus so many posts on this and other forums, I've become pretty good. I probably average around 40 words per minute if I'm copying something, faster if I'm just typing my thoughts.

If I know what i'm typing I can get up to 92-98 WPM, probably 85-92 WPM corrected.
On average I can type at least 60WPM. That makes me very good at transcribing dictations at work. It's surprising how few people can listen and type at the same time.
