Does anyone know if it's possible to use Oakley frames and put prescription lenses inside of the Oakley frame?

I work at Eyemasters, and my boss told me no, because the frame is too "curved" to put prescription....I"m not sure if it is because of the frame, or just our lack of sophisticated machines to do it.

but I know that Eyemastrs cannot do it, for sure.

I know you can get lenses custom cut, but it usually is too much of a hassle and most places won't do it.

Oakley has its own line of prescription frames. It's called Oakley Rx. Generally, these frames don't have the same curvature as the typical Oakley. Most places won't do it because in order to prescribe Oakley ophthalmic frames they must be an Oakley authorized dispenser/dealer. Unless your vision is really bad. I'm talking -6.00 and above, or +4.00 and above, just about any regular Oakley frame, not necessarily Oakley Rx frames, can accomodate it.

I had my Pair of oakleys fitted with custom lenses. It cost about $160 through my eye doctor. They were better than the crap glasses I had before, but they ended up being too heavy (it was a combination of my ~20/400 perscription and the odd shape of the lenses) so I got some ultralight polycarbonate lenses /w titanium frames:D
