Anyone know a good place for cheap refurb or used hard drives

Buy a used or refurbed drive only if you need to replace an ESDI, RLL, or MFM drive in a very odd computer that won't take IDE or SCSI.

I have been using used, takeout, and refurbished drives for years with no trouble at all. We buy them by the case. There are tons of used high end drives and controllers on the market. Once you get in the network they are easy to locate. For the average guy you can't go wrong with computergeeks or computer disk service.

This is not going to be my primary drive, i need a decent drive to hold me over until #@!$# IBM fixes my broken one...after taht it would be used for mp3 storage

I see some used drives on egay for 25 to 30$ shipped, even some new ones for 40 or 50. Brands are WD, IBM and Maxtor- 4 to 8 gig...
Anyone have opinions on buying these drives??

i know i said i didn't want too but i need something to hold me over...
