I have some extra stuff around my house and a DSL modem that refuses to have drivers for linux.
I also have 2 other people that are pretty dependant on my uptime in windows for thier internet connection via a PCI DSL modem (no linux drivers
)
And last I have a HD, P3 733, 256 megs of ram and everything I need OTHER than a video, sound card, and a mobo.
So I decide I want to build another PC so I can boot into linux and get internet access without disturbing everyone else's internet fun. A linksys router (or the like) will not work as there is no way to connect it and have everything ELSE be behind it.
Anyone got a suggestion on what a GOOD mobo would be? I have looked at a few, but they were either a bit on the costy side or simply looked like boxed frustration (after reading up on them a bit). Price is the MOST determining factor, as I am looking for something that no one will use
It will run Win2K advanced server and act as a firewall/router/light web server/FTP,ect...
Thanks for your help in advance!
