Hey guys, I'm wondering what kind (or if there are any) large 21 or so inch BLACK monitors? Anyone know if there are any one's of good quality or flat screen? I'm hoping not to go to TFT until the prices come down...
If not, does anyone know of any kind of a guide to removing and painting the covering for them? Suggestions?
Thanks!

Please don't paint. I'm not really sure about any black ones, but PLEASE don't paint your (soon to be) VERY expensive monitor. Think about if something goes right with it. Would you wanna take it back to the dealer like that?:)

Nice one, gosharkss, I really like that Hitachi monitor, and the black models are a great addition, as well as 21" versions of the Ergoflat(first ever 21" flat shadow mask?). But the IBM P260 is also a nice one, only $799 on pricewatch.

I'm getting the Hitachi 19" black monitor. Good dot pitch compared to IBM and it got great reviews!

There's a way to make a professional look with spray paints and primers and sanding, but i doubt you are experienced in that dept. SO i would stick with buying an already black monitor.

Dude, if you're gonna paint it, you've gotta take the monitor case out and paint that.. and still, you won't get to the part around the actual screen like that so you'll have to paint that part individually. Plus there's the monitor seat that you'll have to paint, plus the cables (otherwise it would look really funny)... WAYY too much work for aesthetics.
