The crossover in one of speakers is messed up, so I'd like to get it fixed without replacing the whole thing. I'd do it myself, but I'm a soldering noob and it's an expensive part
It looks like a shit soldering job by Polk caused that. By your pictures it seems the resistor was shorted out, heating up the PCB until whatever they used to laminate it oozed out.
