My brothers system has a NF4 SLI-DR board, and the chipset heatsink i think is starting to go its making wierd noises and its not running smooth almost like a rattle. I think its starting to go.

The only problem is with the Northbridge it sits right next to the PCI-E slot so the 8800GTS litteraly is sitting directly overtop of the fan so if i get a new chipset HSF it has to be a small one, no bigger then whats already on it. I checked newegg but they dont have anything cept a HSF which you cant control the fan speed with and is said to be noisy. Petra's has one but its out of stock.

Anyone know any other places i could look ? Or have a fan in thought that i could use

I know this picture doesnt really show the fan well but this is whats on the board right now, you can see how small im talking in height

It doesnt have a fan speed wire on it tho so it probably cant be controlled by the bios people said it loud. Do you know anything else that has the 3rd wire ?

I edited my first post. The edit has a better solution for you.

Edit: Yup, that's the one Gillbot.

Place a xxxmm fan on top of the 8800Gts or whatever it is... point the direction of the exhausting air ... guess where... If i have it wrong, use some zip ties to suspend a fan to blow towards the NB HS area... sorta like my "thing" here.
