I graduated from UCLA last summer and was looking for something fun to do before law school this Fall. Anyway, I've got myself a cool little blog with all manner of stories, pics, and movies.

My last update has some really funny movies, and that's why I'm posting this. I think anyone interested might get a kick of of these little rugrats.

I've taken TESOL certification classes, so I could do this as well... I just never got to it... but seeing your pictures is giving me new ideas.

I know someone who is currently doing this. He seems to be having the time of his life right now. I remember asking him when he planned on returning to the US and it didn't sound like it was any time soon.

I'm going to do this soon (maybe April). Still getting my docs together for a visa...I have enough for an E-2 but trying to see if I can get an F-4 Korean heritage visa.

All you really need is BA from legit university. But that can depend on what country you are going to.

Some people can have really nice experiences, some not so much. It really does depend on your research and a lot on luck. For example, when I first got here, I was working 30-40 hours a week.

For the last two months, my hours have dropped in half, with exact same pay. For example, I don't even go to work until 4pm on my new schedule 3 days a week (2:30pm on the others) and I never work past 8:30pm. Tomorrow (Friday), I have one class, from 4-5:30pm. I am done for the day after that :D

What a coincidence! Just last week I got accepted to study abroad in Korea, and one of the major facets is that it's going to be somewhat of a cultural internship as I'm working with Korean college students to help their conversation. I can't freaking wait!

Edit: Not exactly the same thing as you, but the experience will be somewhat similar I imagine.

Most of them I have run across require you to pay. Strange. Is there a good website for them (and not necessarily for Korea).

I get 2.1 million won per month, which is about $2250 a month (depending on currency rates). Keep in mind that that only 3% of it is taxed, instead of damn near 40% back at home and that my apartment and flight out were free.

Japan is also a great place, but requires more and you simply cannot really save money there. China is always big time now, but you get paid way, way less (though the money you get goes far within China).

I'm going to Soon Chun Hyang University... I've talked to some Koreans on campus that say this isn't the greatest institution, but I'm not really going for my education (as I'll be taking just some history and fine art gen ed courses) and I'm getting paid $125/week, as well as my plane ticket reimbursed, and a free place to stay (dorms). Plus my roommate from last year is in the Korean Military until spring '08 and he's gonna show me around when I get there. Can't wait.

There's a main campus in Seoul, and then the campus I'm going to be at is about an hour south of Seoul.
