So I've been looking around getting quotes from different auto insurance companies in hopes of saving some money monthly. I came across Unitrin Direct, got an online quote for my current vehicle and a possible new vehicle I may soon get, both excellent rates I thought.

I'm currently paying $225 a month on a '93 Rodeo, 19 y/o (on the verge of turning 20), no tickets or accidents, clean record. That's with Allstate BTW. My estiamted rate with Unitrin was Around $130/m which I couldn't believe, but I definitely like! So ask myself, sure I'm saving money but what am I sacrificing, or what am I not getting?

Anyone here with Unitrin Direct, whether it be right now or during the past? What is your experience with them, good? bad?

It's government mandated racketeering. No such thing.

Sure... If you carry around enough cash to replace a new vehicle and any lawsuits because you had an accident more power to you.

Us normal people need insurance, and some do have better service than others.

Unfortunately, I've never heard of the company. I've had Geico for the last few years, service has been good enough and the price is the best I've found.
