Anyone install an AC NV Silencer 5 Rev 3 on a eVGA 7800GT yet?

Doesn't seem worth it. I get the same temps as you with this mod to the stock cooler and it was free because I had the A64 stock fan lying around. I'm using 1.51V VGPU as well:

Ghetto but definitely cheaper than $31 + shipping.

one of the big reasons for me is because my NF4 chipset fan is right below my vid card and it was getting warm because of it. Now the NVSilencer 5 exhausts it all out the back. For me, $30 is fine...

one more question though, how did you increase your volts? I cant find anywhere how to change that in the BIOS and im using a DFI NF4 Ultra-D.

I have two of the nv5's installed on SLI 7800gt's. I can say the actual gpu temps dropped just slightly, but because it does exhaust the heat out of the case, my CPU and chipset temps droped a good 5C each. Also i have these things clocked at 472/1100. I mainly purchased them because they are MUCH quieter than the stock GT fan. And low and behold they are nearly silent now, happy so far.

I have one on my BFG. Cools better and is nearly silent... a far cry from the stock BFG cooler. That was enough reason for me to buy it; quietness.
