anyone in S. CA is Verizon down?

I have been trying to call for the last couple hours.. I can't even call out or receive any calls. My gf is having the same problem.
anyone experiencing similiar problem?

I can't reach my voicemail... doens't even dial. I dont' want to call anyone at this time of night though... I tired my brothers Verizon cell and it started ringing so I hung up right away.
