anyone in Pittsburgh-quick question

just wondering how close the Mellon Arena is to Carnegie Mellon and/or the University of Pittsburgh. Assuming I havent made a mistake they are about 4 miles away-is that right? also, how long would it take me, using public transportation, to get from the Arena back to one of those campuses? less than 1/2 an hour I'd assume/hope?

If it is 4 miles, you could walk it in 30 minutes.

Don't walk from the Arena back to CMU or Pitt. There are quite a few bus routes that run that direction so it won't take long. Once you catch the bus, probably 20 minutes tops. You'd catch the bus on Forbes Ave. which is about 3 blocks from Mellon Arena.

Many of the buses (e.g. 71's) go to downtown from Univ. of Pitt and CMU. If you are unsure, just ask one of the students at the bustop.
