You really shouldn't have to do anything to pass the test. Your vehicle is relatively new and as long as it's in good mechanical condition it should be able to pass the emissions test easily.

As long as the exhaust system is still in good condition, you should be fine. Might consider a tuneup if you think your van could use it, but it shouldn't be required assuming you've kept it in good mechanical shape. My 1988 Prelude was passing tests fine.

BTW, take it to a pure testing centre, as opposed to some place that fixes cars as well. Those places will try and rip you off for repairs 90% of the time.

I know a guy who went to Canadian Tire for his test, they told him his car needed $600 in repairs. He told them to stick it, took it to a centre, it passed no problem. I've also heard them doing it to another guy, trying to get him for $500, after he'd just finished rebuilding the engine. Really, really stay away from there.

If it doesen't pass the test, you bought a POS.

Well, at least something that needs some work. It should pass fine if it's in good mechanical condition.

Its recommended for older cars you changed the spark plugs, air filter, Oil and add Supreme Gas.
